Born in Portland, she lived in Bayonne for over 70 years. She was an elementary school teacher in Bayonne for several years and a member of the Women's Auxillary of the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center of New Jersey, Jersey City, for whom she was an art instructor. She was also a member of John Oliver Hudson John Oliver Hudson, 67, a former West New York resident, died Sunday at his home in Fayetteville, N.C.
Surviving are his wife, Mili Maura; a daughter, Kathleen; two sons, Thomas John and Mark; three sisters, Geneva Norris, Willa Nelms and Dorothy Meggs; a brother, J.E., and a grandson. Westervelt Joseph L. Westervelt, 73, a Jersey City native, died Saturday in General Hospital Center, Passaic. He resided in Clifton for 37 years and moved to Saddle Brook five years ago. He was a mechanic and service writer with Hackensack Ford, Hackensack, for 25 years before he retired in 1979. He served in the Army Air Corps in Europe during World War II.
He was president of the Western Division of the Clifton Little League for several years in the 1960's. Surviving are five sons, Joseph, James, Harry, Robert and Michael; four brothers, Jack, Francis, Harry and Edward; two sisters, Rita Newkirk and Margaret Keene, and 14 grandchildren. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip Church, Clifton.
