Unmasking the Horror: Behind the Screams Tours

Unmasking the Horror is a daytime tour of a selection of houses. It does not include admission to Halloween Horror Nights. Admission to Universal Studios Florida or Halloween Horror Nights is not required to attend an Unmasking the Horror tour.

There is a 3-house tour and a 6-house tour. The house lineup is not guaranteed but barring any unforeseen circ*mstances, the lineups are as follows:

3-House Tour – Starts at $79.99

  • Universal Monsters The Bride of Frankenstein Lives
  • Revenge of the Tooth Fairy
  • Case Files Unearthed: Legendary Truth

6-House Tour – Starts at $129.99

  • The Haunting of Hill House
  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre
  • HHN Icons: Captured
  • Welcome to SCarey: Horror in the Heartland
  • The Wicked Growth: Realm of the Pumpkin
  • Puppet Theatre: Captive Audience

The Beetlejuice house is not included in either tour.

Stay and Scream

Stay and Scream areas allow Annual Passholders or daytime guests to remain in designated locations inside the park after closing and have access to line up for houses before the event starts for the night. If you don’t have regular daytime admission, you can purchase a Scream Early ticket for $30, which grants you admission to Universal Studios Florida from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., at which time you will enter a Stay and Scream area.

Signs will direct guests towards different Stay and Scream areas around Universal Studios Florida. Team Members will scan your valid Halloween Horror Nights ticket and allow you to enter the waiting area prior to the start of the event.

Event maps are on display, so make sure to grab one and start planning your night while you hang out in the Stay and Scream waiting area.

The Stay and Scream areas allow guests to line up early for haunted houses. Team Members will be holding signs for the different houses, and each Stay and Scream area allows access to different houses.

The Haunting of Hill House, Beetlejuice, and Welcome to SCarey are all accessible from the Stay and Scream area by Central Park and Springfield.

The Stay and Scream in New York allows you to line up early for the houses in the area, or visit one of the food booths in the area that open early. Grabbing a snack while you wait for the event to start is a great idea. Food in this area includes Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Twisted Taters, Jack’s Place, and the Carnival Courtyard booths.

Signs around the park provide warnings and remind guests of the Code of Conduct during the event. Don’t forget, there is a “1 Drink Per Person, Per ID” rule. You won’t be able to grab a drink for you and a friend unless they are present. Make sure everyone that wants a drink gets in line and has an ID, and please drink responsibly.

Hotel Guest Entrance

Guests staying at Universal Orlando Resort Hotels have an exclusive entrance to Halloween Horror Nights. We recommend taking advantage of this as lines to enter the event can be very long. You’ll find signs directing you to the entrance, which is located by the former Blue Man Group building.

You will need to have your valid room key in order to use this entrance.

The Houses

The Haunting of Hill House

Welcome to Hill House, a structure more alive than its ghostly inhabitants. Inside these walls echo the haunted footsteps of those trapped here for all time.

Beetlejuice

Got trouble with the living? You know what to say: Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. It’s showtime!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Step into the dilapidated Texas home of the depraved, sad*stic Sawyer family who welcome you with razor-sharp blades and a roaring chainsaw.

Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives

“We belong dead.” The last words of Frankenstein’s monster when his Bride rejected him. Now she’ll stop at nothing to bring him back.

HHN Icons: Captured

For the first time ever, 30 years of characters from your worst nightmares come together to decide who’s the most evil of them all.

Welcome to SCarey: Horror in the Heartland

In Carey bad things just happen. No one escapes from this small town beset by an endless parade of bloodthirsty creatures and maniacs.

Case Files Unearthed: Legendary Truth

Follow the trail of a private eye as an investigation into the supernatural leads you into a dark world of ghouls and terrifying creatures.

The Wicked Growth: Realm of the Pumpkin

There’s no breaking free from the vines of the Pumpkin Lord, here to entrap you in his ever-growing evil.

Puppet Theatre: Captive Audience

A puppeteer and a ballet troupe trapped in a deserted theatre for years are about to turn you into a human puppet. That’s your cue to scream.

Revenge of the Tooth Fairy

The innocent traditions of the tooth fairy hide a darker ritual. It’s an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

The Shows

Marathon of Mayhem: Carnage Factory

There’s no manufacturing the screams as a terrifying show comes to life in Universal Studios’ lagoon. It’s a fear factory.

Halloween Nightmare Fuel

A new show is igniting Halloween Horror Nights, featuring fire, pyro and aerial performers.

The Scare Zones

Crypt TV

Step inside Crypt TV, a dark universe of monsters that reside in the same reality—on your screen, in your pockets and now San Francisco.

30 Years 30 Fears

The monsters you’ve most dreaded from past Halloween Horror Nights have taken over the streets. They’re back and you’re history.

Seek and Destroy

A ruthless alien cyber regime led by The Controller has taken over New York, turning humans into fuel. Succumb or be destroyed.

Gorewood Forest

Sixteen years after the gory sacrifices of Terra Cruentus, the heartless Terra Queen is back. Evil is in her nature.

Lights Camera Hacktion: Eddie’s Revenge

Get ready for the feel-bad movie of the year. Eddie Schmidt, Jack the Clown’s brother, is filming a horror film and the monsters are real.

Halloween Horror Nights 30 is happening at Universal Studios Florida now through October 31. And remember: Don’t go alone.
